Agreement and the terms and conditions of our Privacy Policy below. If you do
not agree to the terms and conditions of this Policy, you may not access, view,
or otherwise use the USPatriots.net Web site. Please read the following terms
carefully.
Children’s Privacy Policy
In compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of
1998, USPatriots.net is committed to providing a safe place for children.
We recognize the need to provide additional privacy protections for children
who visit our sites. To read about our protections for children who are
12 and younger, see Section II below. |
Section I – Your Privacy
USPatriots.net respects your privacy. We are committed to helping you make the
most of your free time on the Internet within a trusted environment. This privacy
policy describes how we collect, protect, use and share information gathered
about you on our Web site. The majority of the content and services on our sites
are offered without our collecting any personal information from you. You can
surf the USPatriots.net Web site and view much of our content anonymously. However,
once you have registered with USPatriots.net, you will have full access to all
of our outstanding resources. Our goal is to provide you with the best information
possible to support your career, family and lifestyle. We hope that the information
contained in this Privacy Policy will help increase your confidence in our Site
and enhance your experience on the Internet.
1. What types of information is USPatriots.net collecting, and how is that
information collected?
We collect two types of information from you when you visit our Site. This information
helps us to achieve this goal and provide better service to you. First, we collect
information that identifies you personally to us. This is referred to as "Personally
Identifiable Information" and is information you voluntarily choose to
provide. Second, we collect information about your use of our Site with the
aid of technology. This information is automatically collected when you visit
the USPatriots.net Web site. In order to have full access to our outstanding
resources, we require some basic information that you choose to provide. Personally
identifiable information tells us specifically who you are and how to best serve
you. It is collected when you choose to become a member of the USPatriots.net
Web site community. As a member, you are asked to provide certain basic information
such as your name, current email address, desired member name, and affiliations.
You may also provide additional personal information at your option. Additionally,
if you choose to correspond with us through email, we keep your email address,
the content of your email messages and our responses. USPatriots.net also collects
some information about your use of our Site and it may not be evident to you
that it is being collected. This is information your computer automatically
provides to us when a connection is made between your computer and our servers.
This information cannot be tied back to you as a specific individual. It helps
us understand our customers and how to serve them better. Examples of collected
data include: the web sites you visited just before and just after our Web site;
the date and time of your visits; the pages viewed; time spent at our Web site;
your browser and platform type (e.g., an Internet Explore on a Macintosh platform),
and your IP (Internet Protocol) addresses. An IP address is a number that is
automatically assigned to your computer whenever you surf the Web and helps
us track demographics and traffic patterns. This allows us to serve you more
effectively, and provide service and content that is most relevant to your personal
interests. We do not combine this type of information with personally identifiable
information unless it is to enforce compliance with the law, our rules or terms
of service described in our User Agreement or to protect our service, site,
Members, Guests, or others.
2. What type of security does USPatriots.net provide?
The importance of security for all personally identifiable information associated
with our members is of utmost concern to us. USPatriots.net takes technical,
contractual, administrative, and physical security steps to protect all visitors'
information. We utilize encryption/security software to safeguard the confidentiality
of personal information we collect. This software provides a limited degree
of protection against unauthorized access or disclosure, as well as accidental
loss, alteration, or destruction. There are some things that you can do to help
protect the security of your information as well. First, never give out your
Password, since this is what is used to access all of your account information.
Second, remember to sign out of your account and close your browser window when
you finish surfing the Web, so that other people using the same computer won't
have access to your information.
3. What choices do I have about USPatriots.net collecting, using, and sharing
my information?
It is possible for you to use much of our site without giving us any personally
identifiable information. However, when you do register with us or give us personally
identifiable information, you will have an opportunity at the time we collect
your information to limit e-mail communications from USPatriots.net and from
our third-party partners. You can request at any time that USPatriots.net not
send future e-mail to you either by unsubscribing from the communication or
by contacting us at memberservices@uspatriots.net. Additionally, there are ways
to limit the information collected through technology, but remember that some
of our features won't work if you decide to do this.
4. How does USPatriots.net use the personally identifiable information that
has been collected?
USPatriots.net uses personally identifiable information for a few specific reasons
only. We use the information to complete transactions. We use information to
notify you if you have won a game or contest, or to send you e-mail updates
and newsletters about our sites. We also use the information you voluntarily
provide to send you USPatriots.net e-mail promotions and special offers from
our third-party sponsors. If you contact us for help we will use the information
to reply to you. Finally, we will give out personal information as required
by law, to enforce our terms of service outlined in our User Agreement, or game

use the information collected only to notify parents when a child has won a
game or contest. We don't use this information for any other purpose.

Here are three methods to review the information that has been collected about
children who are 12 and younger. When parents give their children access to
interactive features like message boards, they are required to establish a family
account. Once a family account is established, the primary account holder can
review the personally identifiable information of all family member accounts
including a child's. You can access this information by logging in to your family
account at http://uspatriots.net/memberservices.
If you are not already a member of any of the USPatriots.net sites, you can
review your child's personally identifiable information by logging in to your
child's account at the Member Services Home Page located at
www.uspatriots.net
and enter the user name and password in the box provided. You will need to have
your child's member name and password. There are instructions on the Your Account
home page to help you recover your child's password if they've forgotten it.
You can also contact Customer Service to view the information that has been
collected from or about your child by sending an e-mail to memberservices@uspatriots.net.
If you have not yet established a family account, you will need to have your
child's user name and password. Please include information (child's member name,
parent email address) in the email that will help us identify your child's account
so we can assist you with your inquiry or request.
5. Whom do I contact with questions or concerns about this privacy policy?
If you need further assistance, please send an e-mail with your questions or
comments to memberservices@uspatriots.net.
